2. Skype is a great tool. I have used this multiple times when visiting with my son who attends collge in Rochester, New York. This is a fabulous way to keep in touch with others. For the classroom, the students could use this while working at home, still working with each other but from their own home. I know a lot of students already are very familiar with Skype and use it on a daily basis to keep in touch with friends at night and during the summer. It's a fun and great invention!! For Skype you definitely need a camera attached to your computer.
I have added a link to a website, "50 Awesome Ways to Use Skype in the Classroom".
